Sable, The Telephone Associate is the third issue of the Ridiculous Fiction series. The title story, from the early 90s, is about a telephone solicitor who just cannot pretend to give a dang about his meaningless phone sales job. You could say that he can’t even “phone it in.” The second story, also written in the early 1990s, is a spoof of the popular and intentionally bizarre hit show Twin Peaks, here titled “Twin Pikes”, because, you see, it’s about a pair of fishes. And “California Soup” is what it is. I guess.
