Sssnakes Comics!!! have a long history (pun intended). Twin reptile buddies Sly and Steven first appeared in issues #20 of the Reglar Wiglar zine. Several years later the starred in their very own mini comics. This version of the mini was printed and hand assembled by me and sold at stores like Quimby’s, Chicago Comics, and Howling Pages where a few copies may still be left.
Sssnakes!!! Comics Minis
My Sssnakes ssseries of comics features the slithery duo Sly and Steven. I printed these 5.5-inch by 3-inch mini-comics to order and assembled them by hand. Each one is different in some way. There have been four issues thus far. A fifth and final issue should hit the streets by the end of 2024 so stay tuned.
While I have retired Sssnakes!!! Comics for the time being, someday I hope to published them in some sort of anthology. Until then, here are the versions that appeard in the Reglar Wiglar #20 (2004) and #21 (2005).

Sssnake!!! Comics in a Box
Sssnakes comics is a comic strip I’ve returned to repeatedly over the past decades. Previous strips appeared in Roctober and Reglar Wiglar zines. I’ve drawn and redrawn various versions many times.
At one point, Sly and Steven (the stars of Sssnakes!!!) lay dormant for many years, but their most recent incarnation was a series of 5.5 x 3-inch mini-comics which ended in 2024 with issue number #5.
Each issue featured a different color card stock. They were printed on an inkjet printer, folded and stapled.
I also sold all five issues together in a Snakes!!! Case and packed them in a hand painted box along with a plastic snake. The gift box was a 6 x 4 x 2-in white corrugated cardboard box (see photos below). These are sold out for now, but maybe they’re return sssomeday.
